On any given night in our community, hundreds have no safe, dry, or warm place to lay their heads. The goal of this event is to raise awareness to the vital work in our community that each organization provides.
While the event is a simulation of what many unsheltered homeless experience, it is so much more. It is a CALL TO ACTION!
It is a way for us to say that we see what you are going through, you are not alone, and we as a community care and are committed to helping our unsheltered neighbors in need. Help us increase awareness of homelessness in our community by attending One Night Without A Bed. Bring your tent, sleeping bag, or sleep in your car. The Salvation Army will provide a soup dinner to participants via their Canteen Truck.
MACH and our event partners will be at the event to collect the following donated goods:
- MACH: Blankets, Winter Gloves, Hats, Scarves, and Socks
- Friendship Mission: Rolls of toilet paper and bottled waters
- Salvation Army: Travel-sized personal hygiene items
